My third teaching class
It was early in the morning as always, and I was surprised because I was early in the classroom, and I got everything ready on time. So, in order to start the class I developed an activity which was “Stop/Walk” and, I consider that it was a good activity to wake up the students, and it was good because they trained their brains. After that, I gave them a mini review about reported speech, and it helped me to measure what they knew. Continuing with class, I pasted in every corner of the wall some stories, so the students had to read one; I got them to make group of 5 or 6 members, then they had to go to one story and read it. They started reading and they had to change the story until they finish with the three. After that, they had to take notes and work as a group, so after they finished they had to share and report what they read in the stories. Honestly, this activity took me a lot of time, and it was time consuming. In order to finish the class, I told them that they had to work in pairs, and they had to simulate that they were famous people, and they had to each other, they had to take notes as possible; after they finished, they I asked for some volunteers, and they shared what they heard from the other person using reported speech.

My second teaching class
It was
early as always in the same classroom, and I felt comfortable at this time
because I could overcome my nervousness. So, I started the class greeting Ss,
and asked to stand up because I got an activity which was “can’t say yes or no”
I gave them three pieces of paper for each students, so they had to stand up
and look for someone to ask yes/no questions, and the person who responded
saying yes or no would lose and the other person must have taken out one piece
of paper; I consider it was a nice activity to get students engaged with the
class. After that, I asked to take out their books and they went to page 50 of student’s
book, and there were some questions that I made them discuss about natural
disasters. Then, I started with the grammar explanation about “imperatives” I
brought a big chart with the explanation and some examples that Ss did it very
well, and as always I felt goof because they understood everything. In order to
finish the class, I gave them the lyrics of the song “hey jude” by beetles and
in that page some phrases were missing with obviously represented imperatives,
so Ss had to filling the blanks spaces with the right imperatives, so I played
the song, but something was wrong, the whole class liked the song and we finish
the class singing the song. This is the type of class that I really love to
teach because they enjoy what I teach, and it was amazing. You should have seen
that!

First teaching practice
In this
time, I had the opportunity to teach Intermediate English II as the previous
semester, but in a different group, so we all know that every group behave in
many ways. It was 6.45 a.m. I arrived early as always because I really like to
be punctual. I started my class with a warm-up activity which was “red elbow” I
like this activity because it is a good way to wake up Ss. After that, I provided the class a short
reading with a funny story, so it contained the structure of the topic that I
was going to teach, so I did it inductively. I clarified some doubts that Ss’
had related with vocabulary, and they got it quickly. Then, I started with the
grammar explanation about “embedded questions” what made me feel proud was that
all of them got the topic very well, and
they paid attention carefully, so it was easy to explain that topic; after
that, I provided them some sheet of paper with contained several exercises with
the topic, but the teacher give me some feedback and he said that I was too
much information with this topic, but he accept that was his fault not mine
because he told me what to teach. I felt nice and I really enjoyed this class,
and it was the first time with this group, and it was good.
